About Scrapbook U
Hi, I'm Monica Martinek of Fremont California. I began my scrapbooking obsession after attending a Creative Memories class at a close friend's house in 1996. I was hooked at once. I have been known to travel to different states to scrap and attend conventions. In January 2002, I attended my first Gotta Crop (www.gottacrop.com) in Carmel, California with two close friends. I was truly amazed and energized at what I witnessed. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that many other women were as obsessed as I was!
In the weeks following, I decided that Fremont needed a scrapbook store. Scrapbook U was born, and I worked hard to make it the “best little store around” with a friendly, helpful staff and amazing teachers. At Scrapbook U, customers were able to find all the products they love, and many unusual items as well.
At the end of October, 2010 Scrapbook U closed it's retail store location to concentrate on our booming class kit business along with offering quality scrapbook getaways and one-day events. Our new venture is called "Scrapbook U Creates - Classy Classes and Elegant Events." We look forward to serving your desire for our kits to be delivered right to your door.
